Tight Pussy, Loose Shoes and A Warm Place to Shit

In 1976, politician Earl Butz was asked by the right wing Republican entertainer Pat Boone why the party of Lincoln wasn't able to attract more blacks. Butz, the then US Secretary of Agriculture said "I'll tell you what the Coloreds want out of life. It's three things: first, a tight pussy; second, loose shoes; and third, a warm place to shit."

This quip sunk Butz's political ship and inspired America's creative types to make Darktown After Dark in response. Hooray for Hollywood. And amen to the Big 3!

Who doesn't want those things and why would Earl Butz (is that a real name?) ascribe to the "coloreds" the needs us whites secretly harbor but because of MBA's and law school debt we aren't allowed to pursue openly? Race traitor!

Earl Lauer Butz was quite the character. This is a gem as well: "He no playa the game, he no maka the rules."

But, let's get down to what the old people call the "brass tacks." What are the coloreds looking for in life? Same thing every human is looking for: Companionship (warm pussy), loose shoes (comfort), and shelter (a warm place to shit). Add some food and drink and we have a very good existence.

Now, as far as "Dark Town After Dark" (DTAD) is concerned, brilliance is not strong enough a word. So true to everything that is America.

Dunno, Trace, loose shoes put the hurt on me.

I guess the blind trombone player doesn't know he's the only white guy in the band. That's a funny gag! Is that Young Harry SHearer doing the voice work at either end? '76 was a good year for Republican foibles. John Mitchell winding up in the water at the Jefferson Memorial because he didn't want to get caught with some stripper. Here name was Fanne Fox.

I remember this from the movie "Loose Shoes". Never thought I'd see it again. Thanks, Trace!
